There are actually two verses in today’s verse of the day. The second verse is the next verse in Isaiah 55 and it reads, “Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteousness their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God for he will freely pardon.” God is offering an invitation in these two verses. He is calling for you to seek him and he is calling for you to give up your “wicked” ways and turn to him. When you turn to God he will pardon your sins. When you accept God’s free gift he forgets and forgives your sins, no matter how bad they are or how bad you think they are. Seek God today, give up your old way of living and accept the pardon that God is freely offering you.
