The mistake that most people make when they talk about the church, is that that believe that the church is a building. The church is not a building, instead it is the people who gather together within the building. You don’t need a fancy building for God to be present. All it takes for God to be present is for a group people to be gathered together in the name of God. This could be a small group, a family doing daily devotions together and/or a collective body of believers meeting together on Sunday for worship. Remember this the Church is not a building, but instead the Church is the people who are inside the building who have come together to worship God.
