Verse of the Day 2-13-21

In our relationships with each other we are to have the same mindset as Jesus. We are to love one another regardless of our differences. Time and time again Jesus showed love towards those who were rejected and abused by society. In Jesus’ famous sermon on the mount he tells us his mindset for our relationships with others. “You have heard it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even the pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:43-48 NIV). If you want the same mindset as Jesus the you must love like Jesus. Love is the key to your relationships with others.
