As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.-Isaiah 66:13
God has promised to provide you comfort. This doesn’t mean that God has promised that everything will be easy, but it does mean that God will always be there to help ease the pain and the suffering that you are going through. That is why God described the comfort he provides like a mother comforting her child to the prophet Isaiah. Mother’s love their children in much the same way that God loves us. Mother’s don’t like to see their children in pain and suffering, and neither does God. God wants to ease our pain and suffering, much the same way that our mother’s do.
