Your words have the power to do one of two things: give life or give death. How do your words give life? Your words have the power to build others up and when you choose to use the words that you speak in this manner you are choosing to speak life. The opposite is true when your words constantly tear others down. By choosing to use the words you speak in this manner you speaking death to people. Not in the literal meaning of the word death, because you are not physically killing them. But you are doing something much worse, you are killing them mentally, emotionally and more importantly spiritually. Choose your words carefully, because the power of life and death is in the tongue.
