The true mark of someone who has been changed by Christ is that they will start to imitate him throughout their daily lives. Jesus did nothing out out of selfish ambition. In fact everything that he did throughout his time on earth was for the good of others. We all know that the two greatest commands God us are to love him with everything we have and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. You can’t love somebody else if you are constantly putting your needs or interests ahead of theirs. True love requires that you value others above yourselves. This is the kind of love that Jesus modeled for us. It is this kind of love that causes great change to happen in our world. Do you want to see the end of all the evil and bad things that are plaguing our world, then put the needs of others ahead of your needs. Things will not change overnight and they may not even change in your lifetime, but you will have sown the seed which is all you are called to do. Go out today and practice true love by putting the needs and interests of others ahead your own needs and interests.
