After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne and to the Lamb.”-Revelation 7:9-10
What do you notice about this scene that John is shown? Do you notice that those who are gathered around the throne of God are not just from one group of people. God’s plan of salvation is for everyone. It is not just for a select few, who think they will be saved because of who their ancestors are. John’s vision here clearly shows that salvation is open to everyone who puts their faith and in trust in God.
