May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.-Romans 15:13
Who is the source of you hope? Who is the source of your joy and your peace? Is it the world or is it God? Because if you are placing your trust in the world to give you hope, joy and peace, then you are setting yourself for failure. God is your ultimate source of hope. And why is that? Who has the power to forgive your sins? Who gives you eternal life? God does all of these things through the power of the shed blood of his son Jesus Christ. To go back to our original question of who should be your source of hope, joy and peace. The answer should be obvious now. It should be the one who can forgive your sins and give you eternal life. And the only one who can do all of those things is God. Place your hope and trust in God today by accepting his free gift of salvation. It is not hard. All you have to do is freely admit you are a sinner and that you are in need of God’s forgiveness, and acknowledge that God is Lord of your life and that you are accepting God’s free gift of salvation for your sins through the shed blood of his son Jesus Christ. That is how you find hope, joy and peace.
