Does the God we serve ever change? Does what he requires of us ever change? No and no. Then why do we think that God changes? Could it be because we are not perfect? For you see we are not perfect as God is perfect and we view God through the lenses of our imperfection. As much as we like to say our values and beliefs don’t change and have remained the same, the sad truth is that they do change and most of the time not for the good. So the author of Hebrews is giving us a reminder here that God, as he is revealed to us through Jesus, never changes. God is the one constant you can count on in your life. And if you are looking for something that you count on in your life, then there is nothing better to place your faith and trust in than God.
