This verse is a very important reminder to us all that God is in charge and that he is in control over everything. Though it may appear at times that God is not in control, nothing could be farther from the truth. For you see there is nothing that can knock God off from his throne. In fact we know that the devil tried and that is why he and those angels, who chose to follow him were kicked out of heaven. That is why it appears that God is not in control at times, because in his great love for us he has given us the free will to choose whether we are going to to follow him or not. And part of that is allowing the devil free reign for a time, because otherwise there would be no need for a free will if God was the only choice available. So, while it seems that God’s kingdom does not rule over all or at times it seems that it rules over nothing, in fact it does rule over everything, because our God is still on his throne and nothing is ever going to change that fact.
