Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance! You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.-Micah 7:18-19

The God whom we serve is a God of compassion and mercy, and not a God of angry and vengeance. How do we know this? Would a God of angry and vengeance have made a way for sinful and rebellious mankind to turn back to him? No an angry and vengeful God would not do this, but a loving, compassionate and merciful God would. God is not out to get you, but instead he is looking to show you mercy and compassion. But God is not going to force his mercy and compassion on you if you choose not to accept it. God will freely and gladly show you his mercy and compassion by pardoning your sins, but you have to accept his pardon by admitting that you are in need of his mercy and compassion in your life. Choose today to accept God’s pardon for your sins and it will be the best decision you ever made.
