Verse of the Day 7-31-21

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Who is the one who is able to immeasurably more than we can ever ask or ever even imagine? Who is Paul referring to here? It can only one person and that is God. For you see God is the only one who can do more than we can ever ask or even imagine. And why is God able to do more than we can ever ask or imagine? Because God is all powerful, all knowing, and ever present. When we say that God is all powerful, we are saying that God is control of everything. But he doesn’t exert this control in the same way we do, by forcing others to do things that they we have not chosen to do, rather God shows his control and his power by allowing us to use our free will to make our own choices. When we say that God is all knowing, we are saying that God knows everything you have done in the past and the everything you are going to do in the future. Again, God may know what you are going to do, but he does not push you down that path, but rather he allows you to choose your own path in the hopes that you will follow the guidance and direction that he is willing to give you. And lastly when we say God is ever present, we are saying that God is everywhere and that there is nothing that you can hide from God. When you truly come to understand God, you will see that God, who is able to do more than we could ever ask or even imagine, chooses to restrain himself in order that we might exercise our free will. God does this our love for you. Don’t ever forget that God truly loves you and wants what is best for you.
