When you are afraid who do you put your trust in? Do you put your trust in God or do you put your trust somewhere else? If you have put your trust in anything but God, then you are in for a rude awaking. Jesus had this to say about this subject in Matthew:
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain cam down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.-Matthew 7:24-27 NIV
When you put your trust in God you have built your house on the rock and you can withstand the storms that life is going to throw your way. But if you put your trust in anything but God, then you have built your house on the sand and as soon as the storms of life come your way everything will collapse. Whom are you going to choose to put your trust in? Are you going to choose to put your trust in God and have your life built on a firm foundation that can withstand any storm? Or are you going to choose to put your trust in anything but God and have your life built on a foundation of sand that will not withstand the storms of life? The choose is yours, but chose wisely.
