There is no one holy like the LORD. There is no one besides you! And there is no rock like our God. 1 Samuel 2:2
Today’s passage comes from Hannah’s triumphant prayer after the birth of Samuel. And the twofold occurrence of no one emphasizes God’s uniqueness. The word rock denotes an immovable, jutting cliff, not a mere stone. This word commonly occurs in the Bible to describe God’s support and defense of his people.
Hannah knew and understood that it was only through the power of God that she was able to give birth to Samuel. And this was because Hannah was not able to have any children. But Hannah did not try and fix this problem on her own, rather she went to God with her problem. And God provided a solution to her problem. And God will provide a solution to your problem also.
