For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
The personal experience of the individual becomes a lesson to be learned by the community. It is the individual’s responsibility to communicate to the community what the Lord has done. And the lesson is that times of suffering pale in comparison to the Lord’s deliverance. What we must remember is that the darkest hour means dawn is just in sight.
