but the LORD establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9
The word plans in Proverbs usually involves wicked schemes, but it can also refer to good strategies and tactics or thinking deeply about something. Even good plans can only be established by the sovereign Lord. “Established” is fixed and firm, secure, not subject to change or to destruction. We must remember that God has a plan for our lives and that that plan is fixed and firm, secure, and not subject to change or to destruction.
