How great you are, Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears. 2 Samuel 7:22
David here in just these two short sentences summed up why God is the one true God, and this affirmation of God’s uniqueness differed greatly from the polytheistic views of the nations and people that surrounded Israel at the time. And unfortunately the same is true is true for us today, because we still live in a society that unfortunately will not acknowledge the fact God is the one true God, even though they have seen thee evidence of this fact all around them. And if we want to be a people who are greatly used by God, we have to be different than those who live around us. For you see that is what made the people of Israel so unique and when you get into the New Testament that is what made the early Church so unique. It is when we as the people of God begin to be different than those around that change in the world will began to happen. So let’s get to not just saying there is no god like our God, but actually acting like there is no god like our God.
