“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the LORD.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
God’s thoughts and ways are not those of humans. On our own, we could never comprehend God’s purposes. But humans minds and hearts can be renewed and transformed through a personal relationship with God and by sincerely striving to follow his plans. As we get to know God better, our thoughts and desires will begin to conform to his. And our greatest desire should be to live more like Jesus so that everything we do pleases the God we serve. And lastly we become more like this by spending intense time God’s Word, in prayer and responding to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
