Verse of the Day 4-21-22

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. John 13:14

Is Jesus literally telling us to wash each other’s feet? No, of course not. Then what is Jesus telling us to do in today’s verse? He is telling us the kind of attitude that we must take toward one another as fellow believers. And the kind of the attitude that is exemplified by be willing to wash someone else’s feet is that of a humble servant. Jesus here is telling us that as followers of him we should put others first.
