Verse of the Day 8-1-22

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

The main goal of a Christian’s life is to please God and bring honor to him by becoming more like Jesus and reflecting his attitude of humility and selflessness toward God and others. Anything that cannot be doe for God’s glory should not be done at all. We honor him by obedience, thankfulness, humility, faithfulness, prayer, reliance on him and selfless consideration for others for the sake of bringing them closer to Christ. This rule (“do it all for the glory of God”) must be the primary directive of our lives, a guide for our conduct and a test for our actions. And in order to apply this principle to our lives we must ask ourselves these questions:

  • How do we reflect glory back to God? And what does that look like?
  • When have you intentionally sought to glorify God in recent days? And what happened?
