Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. 1 Thessalonians 5:15
Retaliation and revenge are not acceptable options for Christians. God is the final judge and will repay individuals for their wrong. This does not mean that Christians must allow people to take advantage of them, not does it mean that they should not take proper action against sin or injustice. It does mean, however, that Christians must follow Jesus’ instruction to “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you” (Luke 6:27 and 35) and to forgive others as he has forgiven us.
