Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14
Entrance into the life of the kingdom of heaven is through the narrow gate-that is, through Jesus alone. The “narrow” road indicates the life of discipleship. Those who follow the example of the religious leaders in seeking outward righteousness and the approval of people are on the road to destruction-eternal separation from God.
