Verse of the Day 9-28-22

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? ”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8

Only after God had purified and prepared him spiritually was Isaiah commissioned, or given or a duty and the authority needed to perform that duty, as a prophet.1 This passage reminds us of the Great Commission Jesus gave his his followers before he left the earth and returned to heaven. He commissioned us spread to his message of hope and spiritual salvation to the entire world2, starting right where we are. God is always looking for willing individuals to take his Gospel-his “Good News”- to people who still need to hear about and receive his forgiveness new life. If we take God’s command seriously, we must respond in the same way as Isaiah, ” Here am I. Send me!”
