I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
Paul in the midst of one of the greatest chapters in the Bible gives us some great advise about suffering. He is telling us in this one short little verse that all the sufferings and difficulties of this present age-sickness, pain, disappointments, injustice, mistreatment, rejection, sorrow, persecution and trouble of any kind-are considered very small when compared to the blessing, privileges and glory that will be given to every believer as we spend eternity with God.
Dr. Tony Evans wrote these words concerning Romans 8:18 in his study Bible notes:
For believers, “the glory” ahead is not only greater than our “present” suffering. It is so much greater that should we look back on our earthly existence from the joys of eternity, our only response will be, “Sufferings? What suffering?”
